In this happy, vibrant and friendly community there is a lot of laughter and fun mixed in with the hard work.

Staff are well qualified, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children. We follow the National Curriculum but add significantly to it. We have specialist teachers in English, Mathematics, Science, PE, Drama, Modern Languages, Music, Home Economics and Art. Facilities are excellent. At the end of Prep 6 all girls take the national SATs examinations and our results are consistently excellent.

Extra curricular activities take place at lunch time and after school. They include riding, team sports, art, music, drama, crafts, judo and many more.

We offer a ‘before school club’ from 7.45am and girls can stay in school, supervised, until 5.00pm to help working parents.

A Roman Invasion

As part of their history topic girls in Year 4 enjoyed a lively all-day workshop by 'The History Man', considering the reasons behind the Roman invasion of Britain and its implications for the Celts. Caivs Aqvilonivs Statvtvs, from the Legion XIII provided wonderful replicas of armour and weapons for all to wear and helped everyone understand the realities of daily life for legionary soldier. The drama also included a gladiator show and cheering on a winning team in a chariot race!

Harvest
Girls throughout the Prep. School raised an amazing £1,100 for the Kandango School in Uganda by each collecting 'loose change' in collecting boxes which were returned to School on the day of the Harvest Service. This was the main fundraising initiative for the Harvest Thanksgiving Assembly which took place in the School's new Courtyard Hall. Mrs Pat Spencer, the School's direct contact with Kandango School, thanked the pupils and staff for their wonderful efforts. Mrs Spencer has since been out to visit the school where the money collected by our girls will provide breakfast and lunch for pupils for over a year. Kandango School has presented Farlington with an African drum as a token of their thanks.
