Entry to the Senior School is based on the following criteria:

  • Interview
  • Entrance examination
  • Report from current school
  • Availability of spaces in the appropriate year group

Entrance examinations take place in January.  Places are offered for entry to the School in the following Autumn Term.  Farlington Year 6 pupils sit entrance examinations at the same time as external candidates.

Admissions at other times of the year are based on the same criteria and are considered at the discretion of the Headmistress. Places are offered after consultation with either the co-ordinator of a Key Stage, or with Heads of Departments and interviewers.
Places are not normally offered outside a child’s chronological year group.

Final decisions are made by the Headmistress after consultation with the Head of Prep. and/or the Senior Staff Group. Once a place is offered we require the appropriate deposit to secure your acceptance of this offer.

(For entry into the Sixth Form please see the appropriate page on this website).
