Prep Prize Giving 2012
With end of academic year fast approaching Farlington Prep School hosted its annual Prize Giving on Wednesday 4th July, and what a triumph it was. Mrs Baggs spoke eloquently and with more than a hint of humour to a hall, full to the seams, of parents, grandparents and girls. A special mention was given to Mrs Barbara Dodd - the original Dodette - who after 14 years at Farlington is retiring. The special guest was Sergeant Yeoman George Brodie who, having already visited Farlington, has his own Farlington fan base! After today’s speech, which was both informative and amusing in equal measure, he will be sure to add more! Sergeant Yeoman George Brodie went on to present a vast array of prizes to the Prep School girls – the very number of cups and trophies serving to illustrate the wealth of talent Farlington Prep has both academically and in a whole range of other areas. The afternoon was rounded off with a delicious homemade tea with cakes galore – scones, meringues, chocolate eclairs, to name but three. To quote one parent “what a splendid afternoon, what a splendid school”.
