Girls Boarding School

Farlington Boarding House is a comfortable and friendly House where there is a genuine family feel. This is partly due to the age-range of our boarders which means that everyone can mix together with girls of all ages. Evenings (after prep!) are relaxed and fun, with a great emphasis on individual attention whilst keeping a sense of community. Friendly staff and girls alike help each other with their work and with life’s stresses; there is always an supportive ear available for anyone who needs it!

Younger boarders are accommodated in three dormitories with up to six beds; senior girls have double or single rooms. We have a cinema style TV on which the boarders can watch their favourite soaps and DVDS; every Friday night they have a movie night with popcorn. They also have a Wii and Wii Fit which provides for lively and energetic entertainment!

Girls who stay for weekends are treated to an immensely varied and adventurous programme of outings and activities. Creative trips such as ceramic painting are interspersed with more active pursuits like kayaking, climbing and abseiling. There are also visits to the cinema or theatre, and the occasional opportunity for some retail therapy.

As with any element of school life, the best way to really understand what boarding at Farlington is like is to visit and speak to the staff and girls. Prospective pupils are always welcome to join us for "taster nights" which are a great way for girls to experience all that is on offer at first hand. We also offer flexi-boarding for Day Girls.

Farlington is proud to have been accredited as a UK Top 50 Independent Girls Senior Boarding School for 2011 by Education Advisers Ltd
