Farlington’s greatest asset is its’ staff - from the wonderful pastoral care provided by the boarding house with Mrs McKinney and her team, medical care and advice from Sister Parsons, the catering staff who look after the boarders so well and even make them birthday cakes and last but not least, the teachers who are dedicated, caring and always willing to give extra help and
time whenever needed.
My grandaughter is a weekly boarder and most of the time loves it. (It's the returning after a break, she does not like). The girls in the boarding house always look relaxed and happy, I asked some of them, how they liked boarding? and they all said its good and the staff are great and very supportive.
As a parent of a single child I really began to notice a change in my daughter when she started boarding at Farlington. The caring and nurturing environment within the Boarding House coupled with the active social scene amongst the girls has seen my daughter develop into a sociable and responsible member of a vibrant school community.
She has been lucky to have been boarding with two fabulous Boarding House Mistresses, both of whom brought their own unique approach to running the Boarding House, and yet both were able to bring the best out in my daughter.I would say that boarding at Farlington is an added dimension to an already first class school.
