We are delighted that you are considering Farlington for your daughter. The best way to really experience the friendly atmosphere here is to visit the school. I would be very happy to arrange a personal tour for you and your daughter, and an opportunity to meet Ms Louise Higson, the Headmistress. Should your interest be in either our Nursery or Prep School, tours are conducted personally by Mrs Joy Baggs, Head of the Prep School.
Farlington has two main Open Events in October and March, and a series of “Farlington in Action” days which will allow you to see the school in work mode. If you wish to attend any of these events, please contact me on 01403 282573 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, if these dates are not convenient, or you are looking for a place before the start of the next academic year, I should be very happy to arrange an individual tour of the School, and talk to you about our entrance procedures.
We are keen to ensure that your daughter has the chance to familiarise herself with her new surroundings before starting at Farlington. This helps to facilitate the next stage of her education, for you, as well as for her! With this in mind, we offer tailored Taster Days, in both the Prep and the Senior School.
For girls who have accepted places in the Senior School, there is an Information Evening where key staff are on hand to answer questions, and there is the opportunity
to meet and chat with other parents. At New Girls’ Afternoon in June, which is for both
Prep and Senior new girls, your daughter will be able to get to know her Class Teacher/
Form Tutor and fellow students. Parents are invited to a talk from the Headmistress
and key staff, followed by tea and an opportunity to purchase uniform and equipment.
New girls to the Senior School also attend an Induction Day immediately prior to the start of term.
I should be delighted to answer any questions you may have, and I hope to make your daughter’s entrance to Farlington as smooth as possible.
I look forward to welcoming you.
Mrs Jo Coveney
