Barn Dance
As the finale to Farlington’s first ever Folk Week a Barn Dance was organised on Saturday 2nd February. The 8-part band ‘Unreel’ played some wonderful folk tunes to which adults and children alike joined in to dance. There was an experienced caller so everyone quickly got the hang of the moves and were soon galloping and swinging their partners. With the lovely meal served by Sarah from the kitchen, the bar manned by parents and staff, and a raffle to participate in, there was plenty to do whilst catching one’s breath ready for the next dance! Many thanks to Louise Mursell and Nikki Kulin for organising the event; hopefully this will be the first of many more in the future.
