Open Days

Open Events provide an excellent opportunity to fully understand all that Farlington offers and to soak up the atmosphere from Nursery through to the Sixth Form. Each event is tailored to meet specific needs (please see below for more details) but all will enable both prospective parents and pupils to get a real flavour of the school.

This September, Farlington will be hosting a completely new and exciting open event - 'Taste of Farlington'. This event will take place on Saturday 19th September 2015 from 10am - 3pm. There will be lots to see and do around our wonderful campus:

  • Addresses will be given by the Headmistress at both 11am and 2pm.
  • Regular tours of the Prep and Senior School as well as our designated Sixth Form Centre.
  • A delicious, local, food and drinks fair.
  • A wonderful, local craft fair.
  • A delightful pop up cafe with tasty drinks and snacks.
  • An opportunity to meet existing staff and pupils and discuss all that Farlington can offer your daughter.
  • An inter school, competitive Hockey Festival taking place on our Astro pitch.

To register for 'Taste of Farlington' please click on the button and complete the registration form. Alternatively, either call or email Mrs Sue Apps, our Admissions Registrar on 01403 282573 or and she will be delighted to assist and provide any further information. If you are  unable to attend 'Taste of Farlington' but would like to visit us, Mrs Apps will be happy to arrange a personal tour of Farlington at a mutually convenient time.

Farlington in Action

'Farlington in Action' are more intimate Open Events where prospective parents and pupils have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the school on a working day, meet the Headmistress and key staff. You will be welcomed by Ms. Louise Higson, Headmistress and Mrs Frances Mwale, Head of the Prep School. Thereafter there will be guided tours of the school taken by current pupils, followed by the opportunity to chat to staff, pupils and parents. We have a strong sense of community, value individuality, celebrate diversity and encourage girls to have the confidence to think for themselves, whilst emphasising the importance of tolerance, teamwork and collective responsibility. Our academic results are impressive, and girls (as well as boys in our Nursery) are offered a wide variety of activities as part of, and in addition to, the curriculum. Music, Art, Drama and Sport are all an important part of school life and provide every opportunity for success. Whether you are visiting for the first time, or returning to see more, this is an ideal opportunity for you to see all that Farlington can offer.
