Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care in any reputable Independent School should be second to none! This is what the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate said of the Pastoral Care at Farlington when their report was published in January 2011:
“Pastoral care and guidance are excellent and make a very positive contribution to pupils’ personal development and their overall achievement. The School is successful in fostering individuals, pupils are happy, succeed and flourish, and relationships are very positive. It is a very friendly, welcoming school”.
The Pastoral Care at Farlington Prep is of paramount importance and involves all children and adults who participate in the daily life in the School.
In our friendly, caring atmosphere where everyone knows each other there is respect and mutual trust. Our small classes give real value to every girl so that she will enjoy a feeling of security, a sense of belonging and will develop a belief in her own worth. We are very proud of our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) programme which includes topics pertinent to the girls’ age and the stage in their development. There are numerous opportunities for participation in school teams and the development of leadership skills.
At Farlington, we believe that education is a partnership between home and school, and we welcome parental involvement in all areas of school life.
