Admission
Senior Admissions Procedure (Year 7 to Year 10)
Please find below details of how to apply for a place in the Senior School for your daughter.
Farlington holds several Open Days, organised throughout the School year. We strongly recommend that you and your daughter come and see the School, which will give you the opportunity to speak to the staff and ask any questions you may have. However, if the dates for the Open Days are not suitable, tours are conducted personally by current students with the opportunity to meet Mrs Jonnie Goyer, Headmistress. Should you wish to attend any event at the School, or request a tour, please could you indicate your interest to the Registrar, Mrs Jo Coveney – 01403 282573, email: registrar@farlingtonschool.net
The usual ages of entry to the Senior School are at 11+ and 16+, although girls may enter at any stage, dependent upon a place being available and the entry requirements being met.
In order to be considered for entry, parents must complete a Registration Form, which should be sent to the Registrar, together with a non-refundable registration fee of £80. Once this has been received, your daughter’s name will be added to the Provisional Admissions list and details regarding the schedule for the examination day will be sent to you. The examinations are taken in January, but if your daughter is at school overseas, she will sit the papers in her own school. Those who cannot attend the Entrance Exam Day, will be offered the opportunity to sit the entrance papers at other times throughout the year.
